Veteran Owned Business

Mike Shaw Toyota Is Proud to Be Veteran-Owned

Integrity is at the heart of everything we do here at Mike Shaw Toyota, and that starts with the man who started it all. Mike Shaw's dedication to preserving honor and integrity is rooted in his military background - first as a student at Weslaco High School in the Rio Grande Valley, then as an officer in the United States Army following his graduation from Texas A&M University as a distinguished military student. His service included a year in Vietnam, after which he returned to his beloved home state of Texas to build his career in the automotive industry.

As a proud Veteran, Mr. Shaw founded his business more than 50 years ago on the solid foundation of honor and honesty, a cornerstone that is just as strong today as it was when he built it. That's why, at Mike Shaw Toyota, you can trust that you're getting up-front service from team members who value your business and are dedicated to doing right by you throughout every step of the car buying process.

Being a Veteran-Owned Business, Mike Shaw Toyota holds a high standard for civic duty and responsibility. The business's community impact is wide-reaching, with Mr. Shaw and his wife Nancy leading the charge to positively influence the world around them. Mike Shaw is more than just a businessman; he is a trendsetter and a leader in the industry. A proud recipient of the Latino Leadership Institute Hall of Fame for Business, Innovation, Science, and Technology, Mr. Shaw proudly embraces the spirit of entrepreneurship and community that is celebrated by this award.

Mike Shaw Toyota is a partner in the annual Turkeys for Troops initiative, which provides free Thanksgiving turkeys for active military and veterans as a small gesture of our big gratitude. Over the years, the Shaws have donated more than $4 million to the community as well as helping raise more than $25 million for various organizations and charities. Just a few of these include the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the American Kennel Club, Ducks Unlimited, and the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas.
